I recently saw an E39 with angel eyes.

SFW? you may well ask.

Well it wasn't the facelift one with BMW ones, it was with aftermarket ones that looked like:

I wonder if Chavs with Lexuseses retro-fit their rear lights?

interesting point, so where does taste end and snobbery begin? are no modifications acceptable? if some are what is? how about if the lights were done tastefully? what about interior illumination.

This thread together with the Max Power cover S2000 comments leave me to wonder about the 'flat cappiness' of some threads around here.

Come on people lighten up!

Put it this way, the christmas tree lights first appeared (AFAIK) on the Aston Martin Vantage. However, there are three important differences to those on the R8 (and lesser Aldis).

One, the Aston's lights are not on all the time.

Two, they Aston lights are not blindingly bright "look at me, look at me" items as fitted to Audis.

Three, the shape of the Audi lights is so contrived, the Aston ones simply follow the headlight/bonnet.

In short, the Aston versions are tasteful, the Audis are not.

I'm not really a fan of modifications unless they have some sort of a point (better stereo, lighter wheels, suspension and engine bits) although I struggle with supercharging something like an S2000, I'd simply buy a faster car to begin with if that's what I wanted.

I really don't like loud exhausts as they are pretty antisocial.

However, something like your lowrider is great as it's a lot of fun and makes people smile.

Well thats kind of you to say, but its not everyones taste thats for sure.
I'm talking about modifying a car though rather than the production accoutrements provided to us courtesy of Audi.

Over the last few weeks I've seen people berated for adding sound deadening, not being hardcore enough to drive with the roof down in December, Adding bodykits and now lighting. Even LED sidelights.

now I've nothing against anoyone who wants to strip out there S and go do track days or even buy a lovely lightweight Lout-us and terrorise the sheeps in the fields. Live and let live eh?
