Looks okay, although I think it would need a longer bonnet, or shorter boot.

However no doubt there will be some God awful eco engine under the bonnet

If that was it :-

"Taking inspiration from the Honda Open
Study concept (main picture)"

"There has been no official word from Honda yet, but a spokesman told us: “Don’t rule it out.”

As is the norm for Auto Express, take a pinch of rumour, throw in some photochopped picture or in this case a picture of entirely different car and print

Pic looks like one of those cheap model cars.

I ignore any "news" stories in AE (or Autocar too for that matter), most are rumours and photoshops.

Anyway, looks like a Lotus Elan

It IS a diecast model CR-Z Drac!

Autobore is as full of sh it as are all the other motoring tabloids these days.

Actually, if there is any truth in the rumour of a 1.6 turbo, it'll be VERY close to a poor man (girl's) Elan!

A very good friend has an Elan SE (or whatever the version is with the Turbo') which he's had from new and I've driven it once or twice.

The best handling FWD car I've driven by some margin.

A pity the typical Lotus attention to detail lets it down, in addition to the alleged incorrect over-wide body dimensions for the chassis.
