Default Bikers

Which magazines, clubs and forums tend to be most popular?

I could google for a list but I'm interested in real world replies

For example, there are a number of Jag clubs but one dominates

Thanks

Newspapers & Mags .... MCN, Bike, Ride, Fast Bikes

General Biking .... Visordown.com, Pistonheads. Just about every bike has a dedicated forum. Usenet, uk.rec.motorcycles used to be very popular.

Only ever used the biker section on PH

Biker's Oracle encompasses many owners clubs:

I agree with eSeM about the magazines/papers...they were the ones I read frequently.

Performance Bikes
Superbike
Bike
Ride

- are the first magazines that spring to mind.

MCN is a weekly paper, probably the best known & most read.

Forums wise, I'm on YamahaR1.co.uk - specific to my bike rather than a generic bike forum.

Agree with this 100%, plus of course Superbike.

On the online front, Visordown being the biking equivalent of Pistonheads I guess.

I think Visordown, Ride and MCN are all linked now (MCN being the weekly rag that has been going since time and memorial, somewhat the Sun or dare I say it News of the World of motorcycle journalism...)

Are there any brands or niches that interest you particularly - there will be a forum somwhere for pretty much every brand/model under the sun...

The non-VFR forums on BO feature hardly any posts though - part of the owner's grand plan that has not really worked.

The Viffer forum lost a lot of members due to a bust up a few years back - sadly these included some very knowledgeable mechanical type members - still a good forum though and quite similar in many ways to s2ki.
