Boxster -v- TT -v- S2000
Possibly the most fun I have had with my Boxster since I picked it up mid last year.
Last night I pulled out of a side junction after just spotting a Black 2001ish Audi TT followed closely by an Electric Blue (unsure on correct colour name?) 05 plate S2000 VK05 R** (was it you?) I quickly caught up with them both and just as I did the Audi spat out smoke and shot off into the clear road ahead, immediately the S2000 must have dropped to 2nd gear because the noise was awesome. I thought to myself ok I have the least BHP but lets see how the Boxster compares... on the bends I

The flywheel figs for each car are:
Irrelevant.
It's area under ther torque curve x the gearing (including giant wheels where applicable)
In the real world (where some people are rumoured to live) you are not gonna see a big difference on the pubic highway.
The S2000 ough to be faster through a roundabout, the Boxster better on more sweeping, bumpy bends, the short nose of the TT allows it to tailgate better, the z4 can overtake in busy built-up areas better. But like you say, a lot depends on the skills of the driver.

Driver ability far outweighs the bhp/performance differences.
I remember being overtaken in France on the Route Napoleon by a VW Polo
. Only goes to illustrate the ability of the driver, not the car.
In fact it had nothing to do with driver ability, he was fecking mental

Or Ian's NSX.
Not to mention the Harsh-mobile.
Or my Alfa
After chasing that Porsche Turbo through a school playing field, I was amazed at the lack of difference.
I was following an FN2 the otherday.
Dead level upto double bubble.
I did have my roof down though - definately would have been quicler otherwise.
