Default Breakdown Cover

Just had a call from one of my drivers who is in France on holiday.

The clutch has gone on the Company owned Passat he's driving so I told him to call his breakdown number. Needles to say he didn't organise European cover as he thought the company did it (despite it saying in the handbook that we don't for foreign holiday travel).

I realise I could just tell him to sort the problem out himself but wondered if there was anything I could do? Can you organise breakdown cover after the event?

Find the phone number of a local garage for him.

To repatriate the car here - will be in 4 digits.

Might be cheaper to just get the clutch fixed there.

All sorted

Let's hope he has learnt his lesson for next time!
