Well, it was a good day until the water egress got to crutch level; dia bollick. I was sitting in a chair that when I got up had about 2 cups of of iced water in it. Brollies lost at the 2 minute and 20 minute marker. We lasted until about 14:00 and then the enthusiasm waned. As we live local (Salisbury) we decided to dash home (haha got stuck in the mud of the car park) and sat in front of the TV for the remaining races with hot food and an alcoholic drink.

TBH the weather looked much worse on the box that it was when we were there. It was mostly spray rather than standing water. It let driving skills come to the fore. Sheddon was incredibly aggressive and deserved his win and Harry Woodhead in the junior Ginetta race did really well. I expected the porsches to be all over the place but they coped well most of the time.

Can't wait for next year but with a tent.

I didn't see the BTCC this weekend mainly because I was at Brands Hatch watching the 750 Motor Club races. Yesterday was horrendous, 5 out of the 12 races were red flagged and restarted. Today started off shocking weather wise then turned out quite nice, even had the sun shining from 12 onwards.

I suppose it's ok for all of the big boys with fat budgets, but I just wouldn't bother racing in that weather as you have a ridiculously high chance of being hit or spinning off.

Flash was on fire today and a very much deserved result.

I was impressed with the driving today (BTCC) in that there was no stupidity. Even Plato sounded like a decent bloke.

Was suprised to hear that the £80,000 will only go 'some way' to the budget of a Porsche Carrera Cup Season.

And then I read an article in this months Track Driver Magazine. Minis for a season - That'll be £34,000 (Arrive and drive) for the cheap ones and £60,000 (Arrive and drive) for the expensive ones.

Scary.
