ITV3, 4pm.

Motors have dropped it , ITV have said they're only showing some races on ITV1.

As per the article in todays Motorsport News....MotorsTV won't be showing the BTCC or support races next year.

Whilst we appreciate the coverage MotorsTV have given, it should also be put into perspective; their coverage of the BTCC was viewed by only about 8% of the number of viewers that watch our ITV coverage - and in broadcast terms that, indeed, is a very small number of viewers.

To be fair, those small audience numbers that MotorsTV delivered are nearly impossible to justify, (given the very significant costs involved in producing such coverage), and it is perfectly understandable that they would wish to utilise their finite financial resources in a more efficient manner.

Thanks.

I wonder if the 8% included those of us who recorded it ?

ITV3 it is.

On digital TV these things are counted, yes. Your digibox tuned in during the broadcast time, it doesn't car if it was feeding a video or a TV.

Alternatively you could have gone to Brands and received a case of hypothermia and sunburn at the same time

Apparently ITV will pick up live racing from mid season - but the ITV3 coverage was only Race 3 and Highlights

Hopeless isn't it.

A sport where the action is maximised, you never know who's going to win until the flag drops, and there is always the potential of some contact () ...... and it struggles to find coverage.

F1 on the other hand - has become one of the most boring forms of motorsport....ever.... and yet it still commands global viewing.

Its weird.....
