Default Camping for the British GP

Hi, This will be my first GP and there are four of us in total. We want to camp from friday untill monday. Can anyone recommend anywhere that will be worth trying?

Thanks

Ooh, I'm going this year, but only have tickets for race day. Could be worth coming up in the Saturday and camping the night though, but not sure if that is possible?

There used to be a big camping field near the Abbey entrance. it will be filled up by Saturday if it still operates onlt any good if you are doing the 3 days.

This year will be my 20th British GP. Love it and wouldnt miss the weekend for anything. As far as camping goes the main sites are right opposite the main entrance to Silverstone where the fairground is. Be prepared to have a late night though with all the fireworks and loud music!

Best place to pitch your tent? Yes, that was my tent in garage 10c. Was racing there last year (though obviously not on the GP weekend..) Th pit garages are not as plush as you might imagine
