Grass is always greener!

I don't think there are many better all rounders than an M3. You just need the DCT model But then the dilemma is, do you go for another one or move on? One of the best cars ive had, probably impressed me more than the GT3. I wouldn't bother with any alternatives other than the GTR though. Audi - dull. Merc - it's just more of the same but probably more thirsty and less dynamic.

Looks very nice in those pics though.

I do like the DCT but running sans warranty appeals to me and running a box like that sans warranty does not

My AUC deal runs out in a few weeks, this far the car has been faultless, I would flog it if it were otherwise, so I am erring on no renew at this point.... Still undecided.

The manual is either wearing in or I'm adapting to it.

I have realised it must be driven in m mode always

EDIT
Grass is always greener
From you? really?

I like the Granturismo, absolutely gorgeous IMHO
They, Masers, generally sound superb too

But I have a plan involving stepping off the rat race and imagine a Maser would not sit well with that.. It's also a reason why I wouldn't lease, as a contractor that's a no no to me.

Well i bottled it and stumped £630 for another years BM approved warranty, I have a feeling the actuators are not going to last and they're a bitch to fit apparently. At BM prices that's a lot

This means I'm covered when it gets serviced in Sept which is the first inspection since I bought it

Had a corking drive back from work last night, MDM (hero) traction and some decent slip angles. My rears are fooked so I'm finally going to spend some money on this car.. So far it's been my dabbling with
wheels (£180)
gearknob (£70 iirc)

but this month it'll be
new rears £550,
warranty (630),
insurance for both cars (£1.4k)

then in Sept it's inspection time. We'll see if the warranty pays off I guess

Saw a new VXR8 with 570bhp is due.

This has got to be pretty high up on the list of fun cars more suitable for in-bound nippers than an S, no?

The BM got wet yesterday

all seems fine, it didnt get above sill height but i got wet getting to the car.

funny thing was a girl striding through the flood getting soaked but not actually needing to as she was just walking by and there was a dry footpath behind me

For a big powerful motor this car is a pussycat in these conditions, it ploughs through standing water without a twitch. really does deal with shit conditions so well compared to the S

Insurance came in at £750 after my renewal note of 1.1k
Excess a wee bit high at 800 but I can live with that, this and the S2 on Aviva multicar

Still not replaced the rears, they're legal

She sailed through her first MOT

problems in year 1? Not really
-flat tyre indicator after the refurb. Low in one tyre so the joe blow sorted that
-told me I had the wrong key in but worked anyway
-sometimes a little lump on cold start

Well i noticed a subtle knocking noise which matches revs last week. It went into BM today and they think it has an internal issue in bank one and are taking it apart.

Decision made for me, get it fixed then shift it on. Never really got on with the E92, i think maybe it's too capable for someone like me who has limited desire to control their speed and chases a grin, its a GT car with a few edges i think. I'm sure others would form a different opinion, its a very good mile muncher that's for sure.

On a brighter note the missus has told me the Golf is 'enough family car, you can get what you want'

so on the list currently
997 GT3
Exige
Evora
GT86 as a wild card

i want light, maybe a reaction to this but i know now heavy cars are not for me

it needs to be fun at 5/10ths though
