They are not evil; they are just mentally ill.

After the pointlessness of the Acura ZebeDeeX, The Range Rover Eh? Fu ck! and the C untyrman we are now threatened with:

MINI PacMan

We CAN help these poor, disturbed souls.

Please give generously, whatever you can afford...

But they shoulds not be using the name Mini these things are enormous!
Saw a new 4 one yesterday and it dwarfed an Audi A3!

Same wheelbase as a classic Range Rover and less space inside than an S2K.
Now that's talented design.

You have to hand it to the marketing guys though, they have sold these monstrosities in their millions to the stupid people of the world.

Mini, Fiat 500, DS3 and so many others are part of a growing trend of style before function products for the unthinking and uncaring masses.

Regard those as sort of trendy coupes and they're OK.

But a CUV coupe? WTF? It's like a bowler hat with sleeves, or something.

Leyland Trucks once made a Roadtrain tractor unit sleeper cab into a convertible, but that was just a stunt for a truck show.

do people really care about safety equipment on their cars?

ime, people are very much "it'll never happen to me", so do people care it has ncap 5 on it?
fiat 500 - doubled weight
orig mini vs bmw mini - doubled

if i had a choice i'd grab a car to what we had in the 90's; PAS wasnt always standard, few electronics other than alarm/immobilizer, little/no airbag systems, abs/tcs/abs etc etc.

I agree. Which is why I drive old 90's-designed PoS.

Safety is, for most, something else to swank about.

Actually, a lot of people are obsessed with secondary saftey, yet have no concept of primary (active) safety. We've bred a generation of Volvo drivers, in fact. They'd happily lock their kids in an airtight box, for their own protection!

With no comprehension of statistical significance, it's little more than purchase justification.

After coming from a 1987 Vauxhall Nova to a 2007 Seat Ibiza, I much preferred the drive and safety of a modern car.

Would never go back to an old car as a daily drive, they are far too dated and dangerous for todays roads.

A proper classic car however for weekends use, yes please!

Well, if you chav it up & do 130 with four people on board, maybe!

They sold millions of the things and few died...
