Default Car Insurance Question

"Do you have use of any other vehicle?"

I tend to answer YES on the basis that I'm a named driver on my mum's policy.
However, as she lives 130 miles away I hardly ever use it.

Am I interpreting the question correctly?

I think so. my interpretation would be that if you have access to another car, you will be in yours less (proportionally) and so your premium 'should' be less as your risk is spread across more policies?

That's how I interpret it anyway, but it's anyone guess really...am sure they just change the rules to suit them.

And if you answer "no" and then use an additional vehicle (hire car or the like) are you invalidating your insurance if you don't subsequently inform the insurers?

It means in your household/work.

As in a company car/van etc.
