Default Car Tax Dodgers

Just Like an opinion on this.

I have a neighbour who runs around in a car without valid car tax, ran out 11/06. This pisses me off when I have just taxed two cars. Surely the DVLA check and chase these people. Also tax that out of date usually means no MOT or Insurance.

Would you report this to the DVLA or not? I've had mixed opinions when I brought this subject up at work.

Personally, inform.

I pay my tax, insure my car and get an MOT and I expect everyone else to.

As Ian and Boab have said report them.

In my family we pay the lot on 4 cars and I would hate to think that I am subsidising a neighbour or someone who really just does not care.

If they are the registered keeper then they will either be driving whilst the vehicle has a SORN or they will be getting an automatic fine in the post in September.

Grass them up or set fire to their car.

Why would they get a fine in September if their tax ran out in Nov 06 ?
Grass them. If it was a month or two then fine but nearly a year is taking the piss. I have grassed up one of my near neighbours for no tax in their POS in the past. Whilst also being guilty of not taxing the beater for a month when I was working away.
