Caterham slalom day
Just been on another Caterham day, this time the slalom day, (last time I did the drift day with Kelk & another mate of mine).
The day itself was a hoot, nice weather & a small group at Silverstone.
It was immediately apparent that some bloke, I mean berk, was going to win..... he was with a group of 4 who had brought their own sandwiches, clipboards & pens... hmmnn I *try* to reserve judgement but you can soon hear comments like "well of course they are quick they aren't getting the back out enough" when other people put a good time in.... anyway, later on I get talking to some people who know the Caterham instructors and it appears that this is the 6th or 7th time this bloke and his mum have done the Slalom, he's also done the Drift day about 5 times too... of course he's going to win - most other people are there on a one day 'experience'. It's just amusing that people like this, are convinced everyone is watching tehm going 'oooh he's good' when actually they're saying "what a saddo, I hope he f8cks it up".... even more so when this lad points out how, right after he checks the lap time he looks at the bystanders to see who is going to clap him... lol his mother was overheard in the ladies saying "it's not fair, I've done it 3 times and people who have never done it before are doing faster than me" awww never mind love, get a life you might have more fun....
Anyway, fab day, if you want a laugh and a good day out, would highly recommend it... slightly more fun to go along with someone as equally *people watchy* though....

I did, but I fired them last week.... sadly they weren't up to high standard required for the job...

It's big fish in a small pond...
And yes Kelk, I'm saving for a bigger pond
