Default Caught with no MOT



Let's just say that someone close to me got pulled yesterday for using her mobile whilst driving.

Let's also say that it has become apparent that this said person did not ask for her car to be MOT'd when it went in for it's last service.

She now needs to produce one...which might still happen.

But if she get's done for driving without an MOT...what else is she looking at on top of the

driving without insurance (the car being roadworthy is a stipulation of most policies!)

iirc no MOT = minimal fine and no points

unless you are one of the law abiding middle classes

in which case it will be a big fine and no points

Cheers guys. Not worth getting a dodgy cert then.

But I'll tell her that she could be looking at a 3 month stretch.

since the system is computerised, dodgy certs are obvious. Plod should look it up and i don't think you can back date the system.

I would go and get the car mot'd asap, produce that, and hope for the best.

Afraid not.

Still very easy to blag.

CB-my best guess is that they will overlook the MOT cert and not check.
