Never realised it didn't have a LSD-calls itself a bloody sports car-my arse.

Can't imagine those things are cheap for the car.

Wouldn't a grand be better spent on a set of track day tyres and rims for example?

Is Elvington not a bit unusual in it's setup and so over emphasises the lack of a LSD?

Good read, such a refreshing change from the usual Porsche owner Evo article regurgitation

That LSD does seem very cheap, I was looking at getting a second diff for the Caterham and it came to well over a grand.

I suppose if it's the LSD only and it hasn't got Porsche stamped on it why would it be more?

Good question Nige, that was my original plan, get a set of cheap light weight 18" alloys and a set of Toyo R888's. Probably cost of

That is the most fundamental bit of information you need to know about Porsches!

The Cayman S is deliberately crapped down, in order to justify the point of the 911. Zuffenhausen's engineers far prefer the Cayman to drive.

That is why there is such resistance to build a Cayman RS/RST/GT3 and all the other million variants; they can separate fools from a lot more of their money the way they do things, as opposed to selling the 911 as a sort of Cayman 2+2. Which it is in reality, platform-wise.

This way, you can charge double for the same bag of bits and still they come back for more - the 911 outsells everything bar the Cayenne!
