Try calling them and getting a quote.

Wheels in motion also offer a great service, and are nearer you. Same with TGM.

jamie

CG specialise and I'm not here to criticise them

why would you use them for a more general job, especially given the travelling involved?

if I were you, I'd just be looking for a local Porsche independent

there must be some recommendations on the porker forums

Yes there is one a mile from me, he did my service today and quoted me 2000 quid to sort wish bones and top mounts. I just want to see if I can get it done a bit cheaper.

Jamie - potentially a long way from you but from a Porsche perspective you won't find much of more honest service than Mike @ Sportsandclassics in Knutsford. IIRC he charges about

I know Lee (FieldL) and Lurking Lawyer have used him.
I used Mike at S&C to look after my 993 on FieldL's recommenation, and I'll second Moggy's endorsement. Top bloke and reasonable with the price he charges.

Mike posts over on the PH Porsche forum so I suspect Jamie already knows of him, at least in general terms.

What I dont get is OEM wishbones are 193 quid and refurbed ones from your car are 200 quid. So basically they are charging about 170 quid to pop a 30 quid polyurethane bush in your existing wishbone as these are better then OEM ones apparently.

New wishbones with polyurethane bush are 370 BTW each.

Another question is do I really need this doing, car feels fine to me other than a squeek sometimes but thats a top mount. Worse that could happen is my tyres wear unevenly I suppose ?
