I wonder how they did it

I assume it must be a paint finish or a plastic coating

Can't see it would be practical or possible to plate a car

Probably not so, in the States. I can't decide if it's Florida or California where this shot is taken. I suspect the latter.

I like it too.

edit: Is it actually IN the States? I can't decide. The plates are confusing me.

It looks like south of France to me, in the background you can see a blue sign for the A6 motorway.
