R8 styling makes the 911 look dated too.
I think the 911 was dated 20 years ago, but the styling is now almost timeless.

But I think the R8 will date badly. Look at the origional TT's, they look **very** dated now compared to when they came out, where early Boxters just look "Porsche" ..

I can't believe I'm gonna post this but,

I saw a 57 plate TT today and it looked quite good, had a spoiler on the back I haven't seen before.

Agree the R8 will date and I know what you mean with 911 styling, it's almost understated these day on the C2 S, GT3 looks a bit of mess to me, certainly the front bumper, all functional, but fussy never the less

May have been that 'sporty' stripped-out one with the black roof and carbon kit.

I think owned a 355 but had not been known to praise any of them.
Except when he said the 355 was 'the best car in the world'.

Are we talking about the same J Clarkson?

He once describe Ferrari as God and Porsche as a jumped up beetle

He hates Porsches, has done for years.

I remember he banged on about the Exige, how brilliant it was round the track and in general.

The Cayman S posted the same time more or less with standard roads tyres (Exige had semi slicks) and he didn
