I much perfer the look of the Jap version of the Civic over the fushy European one we have to put up with. Not sure why Honda have designed two different Civics. My only complaint is the lack of three door variant.

The mugen is considerably more expensive. 20 more hp 2 more lbs/ft of Torque and 20lbs lighter.

The FD2 CTR is 220hp and all the usual CTR type stuff, the interior is pretty nice and it has 4 doors. WHY THE HELL didn't Honda bring it out here ???? ??? ????

Loonies.

Honda UK don't want to sell the quality niche market cars for enthusiasts, they just want to sell rep mobiles with Type R logos on them to the masses. The FN2 does that nicely.

I'm sure people like Litchfields are rubbing their hands together at the moment as there are quite a few people on the Type R Owners forum buying them up. Looks like HUK have ####ed up again by short changing the british car market of decent motors.

It's based on the 4 door saloon Civic which is available over here.

Honda always seem to have completely different designs for their Civic saloons, coupes and hatchs, a bit like the Accord and Accord coupe.

There was an IMA powered Civic saloon in this shape at the dealers I was in on Wednesday.

I'm pleased you said that, because I could have sworn I saw a Civic on UK plates that looked almost identical to the Type R above (just without all the cool bits on).

Here's a photo of the Civic Hybrid available in the UK.
