best advice I can offer is:

go dressed very smartly - definitely suit and tie - the place will be crawling with chavs and scumbags and the magistrates will notice the difference

look to the clerk for guidance - keep standing unless told to sit down - look nervous and unfamiliar with the environment

grovel - say I made a judgement in a split second and I accept I made a mistake

good luck, there but for the grace go most of us
Good luck CJ.

I can understand in such a short period of time you had very little time to think and did what you thought was right, its obvious the idiot in the BMW and Peugeot sped up as people in inferior cars take offence at people overtaking them.

I agree with Gad, its a case of look very worried/nervous, eat humble pie...eat shit unfortunately. The likes of decent human beings do worry about things like this whilst the other scumbags commiting other more serious crimes dont give a shit.

Good luck.

At 90+mph slowing drastically 12 seconds is about right for 400 or so metres.

Just as well you are both being honest and you're not taking the rap for Craig, CJ

Devilishly cunning of the barstewards of the 'Norfolk Safety Camera Partnership'.

Just in case, this tells you where they plan to be shooting this week.

Notice they are on the A47 somewhere every day
This what cumbria speed camera location website brings up

That's bad considering they are sold as being a safety feature and not a money maker!

Quote the above. Surely, there must be other bomb disposal personnel out there?

Unbelievable (and trust you to post a BBC news item )

So should we go for bomb disposal or escaping paparazzi a'la Ashley Cole?

Good luck, I'm sure it'll be OK.

I got done for 98mph on the A1 (a different road I know) and receieved 5 points and £150 fine. That was a few years ago though. Off my license now.

I think the worrying thing for us is that it's not benchmarked as such - it's dependant on whether the person seeing us has had a bad morning, argument with wife / husband, hates sports cars etc. It's almost like a lottery.

We've read various things on the internet and some have gotten away with much higher speeds whereas people caught doing less have been banned. Doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason.
