Default DIY alloy wheel refurb kits

Bought an 'almost' immaculate 2008 Toyota Yaris D-4D zinc today, however one of the alloy wheels is scuffed (which a discount was given).

It doesn't appeared to have penetrated through to the alloy itself, its took off a thin surface/lacquer off.

Are these DIY alloy wheel refurb kits any good? any good to restore and fix the damage this wheel has sustained?. I'm quite intrigued as to how good they actually are.

Even if I fooook it up I'll get it done at an alloy wheel refurb place, so it could be worth a shot/lesson .

Cheers

If it's just the lacquer that's damaged all you need to do is remove all of the old lacquer (sand it off with wet and dry) and re-lacquer the wheel.

Chris.

It will cost €35-40 to get a proper refurb. No point in faffing around with DIY kits IMO

Need to have a proper look at it tomorrow. Chris i fear its gone slightly past the laquer.

Haroon/the loon or mills&boon or what you are called your probably right, where i live though its more in the £50 range but its probably more hassle than its worth.
