Default Doris' car egged

Ok so some scrote(s) has chucked an egg at the doris' car, and unfortunately it was left unnoticed sat in the sun. It appears to have left big crater marks on the roof and rear quarter... i've polished it and some has come off but i'm probably not using the right technique / product.

Any advice?

There was someone on here previously had their car egged and IIRR they tracked down the culprits. Perhaps there is advice on that thread about removing the marks but again IIRR he ended up having to go to a bodyshop.

Ive never experienced getting the residue off but Id advise using some Autosmart Tardis remover, followed by a clay bar just to make sure the area is cleaned properly.
Id go on to use a medium compound followed by something more fine.
What products do you have?
If you were closer to Northampton Id tell you to bring it round so I can try and sort it out for you.
People that do this are complete scum!

Sorry to hear it - there are too many aresholes free of any sanction going round. At least they will have short, unhappy lives.

The paint may well be scratched; it's probably that the morons are too ignorant to realise how much damage it actually does.

Egg is a bastard, the shell explodes and often cracks the clear coat, exposing the paint underneath. I fear the worst and a bodyshop visit will be required, it mght be possible to wet sand the scratches but often they are too deep to polish out ... as Nick says 'they probably don't realise how much damage is caused by this action', sorry MB

Thanks for the responses chaps / chapesses

It is a shame, and i'd guess they didn't know the damage being done.

The car has a few war wounds, but we want to sell it soon and this doesn't help. I also suspect as suggested, that it's not polishable, but will give it a go as some of it has come off.

Gad, thanks for the offer Is it a good bit of kit? I've been meaning to buy something to reduce my amount of elbow grease, so might just invest in one anyway.

Just get as much off as you can asap. Acidity in the egg white attacks the paint. Seen a Beemer with the boot all blotched because of eggs last Halloween. Little ####king tossers.
