It is a law that many people completely ignore, including the police

I have recently passed 2 cars there the driver was texting whilst driving

I think we are all guilty of this at one time or another

Followed a daft bint into work this morning who nearly hit a kerb - assumed she was on the phone, then when we got to some traffic it because obvious that she was actually putting on bloody make up. Spent the next couple of miles doing so, obviously a bit of dog

They prob mean when you are driving along and you decide to fiddle with it. You just select your destination and then leave it there is no need to fiddle IMO. Unless you want to avoid a part of route due to a pile up maybe.

I think satnav can be just as distracting as using a phone in many situations

I think (hope) you'll soon see moves to stop it being programmed or otherwise adjusted whilst on the move

It's also responsible for people behaving oddly around junctions as they try to interpret instructions

My old mans sat nav won't let him change anything whilst on the move (Toyota), mind you that doesn't change the face that the drugs he takes for his heart affect his eyesight!
