Driving shoes - Options please
I have noticed that when I drive any distance, my heels start to hurt when I wear my trainers and as I'll be driving for 2 days straight in early August for my France trip (2 full days driving either way), comfort is the key.
What driving shoes do you boys have/recommend?
I know people seem to rate the Puma Speed Cat but wondered if there was anything a tad more "discreet" that would do the job?

I'm not a fan of the speed cats but I do like my Gola Chase trainers - the wrap around heel give good support and the soles are thin enough for good pedal feel.
Or try some very reasonably priced driving shoes from Selfridges http://www.selfridges.com/en/Shoes/C...Driving-shoes/

Otherwise its a case of using the cruise control to allow me to move my foot and around or even using my left foot on the accelerator if the roads are relatively clear and i'm driving at a constant speed.

I have a pair of Sparco Esses, really comfortable and breathe much better than the leather Speed Cats. Look a bit too much though for touring though.
For the more refined gentleman such as yourself
Gary these have had decent reviews and look a little less

Skechers do nice and small trainers that don't look as bright as all those sparco's do
I always used to get the same problem when driving long distances but since I've got my lowered seat it seems to be ok

I'm fine in my more formal shoes but cruising through France in shorts, a T shirt and a pair of natty Brogues looks a little odd.
