Eating words
only one other car has seriously impressed me in the last year
an Octavia RS of all things
but I don't want one
I suspect I would feel the same about any Boxster
and any Porsche for that matter
bar a collectable or a current food chain topper

middle of the range current shape would depress
it would be just like owning a 1.6 Focus to me
that's why my next Ferrari has to be a concours 246 GTS/355 spider
or new F430
watch this space
cable - I've driven Astons, Lambos, Jags and V10 beemers recently
none impressed me more than that Skoda
hard to explain why; can only think it's because it exceeded my expectations. whereas the others did no more than meet them

Yes course I do that's why it's all tongue in cheek , I dont know how many times I have said I loved my s2000. Get with it Graham .
both LL and GB have pointed out to you that it's wearing a bit thin
LL is a Porsche wannabee too
I just think it sounds a bit desparate and out of place
and certainly not 'tongue in cheek'
you can continue to ignore this feedback
but you will start to sound like someone in denial

attention attention ' I loved my S2000 ' end of story
I don't need to "get with" anything, I'm glad you're happy with your new car and (to try and stay relatively on topic) that Anna's pleasantly surprised with her test drive. I've never been one to criticise someone's choice of car (although maybe the car itself obviously), and I'm perfectly aware that there are faster, better handling, more expensive etc etc cars than the S in existence.
But just about every post from you lately has had a ring of "my car's better than everyone else's here", intentional or otherwise and, as Pete mentioned, it's getting very tedious and at risk of sounding like you're trying to justify something to yourself.
