Default Elise Banter.

I have some bad stone chips on my Liz, only 4500k miles too. I got it booked
in for monday to have the nose repainted.
When its cured im going to Armourfend the front or whatever I decide.
I stripped it ready yesterday as most paintshops use unskilled lads to
dis and reassemble the cars.
A few photos I took here.

This is what the running gear looks like for those that havn't seen before.

My hard top and a one piece wiper I recently added.

My Larini Club Sport Exhaust.

Russ.

Amazing how much like an S1 it looks without those gorgeous headlamp covers.

I'm thinking about getting mine resprayed too, but to be honest I'm not sure I'll see the moneyback come trade in time. I keep thinking I should buyan Elise SC, but the thought of fancy launch control and a 10sec 0-100 time tells me I'm going to buy an Exige S 240.

I was planning a run this weekend, but neither the Jocks nor the Lotus guys are out this weekend. If I don't have a hangover I'll head further south and see if I can spot Ireland from Stranraer.

Yeah it does look strange at the moment Gaz.

I know all about changing cars, iv'e owned many.

Its a little different using it every day though as I have in
the past. Right now though its a weekend toy and remains
very special to me.

Karen doesn't like it much though, once during an argument
she told me its a f**king chav car! Charming.

Looks very clean in that wheel arch, is it a dry weather use weekend only car?

I got a replacement blade today, didn't realise that the one piece one would fit, is it a straight swap?

All being well Rockingham speedway tomorrow, one or two from the midlands club are over there.

Oh, now you mention it, mine doesn't have a front number plate on either.

I knocked it off going into a car wash the other day, and tried like a law abiding citzen to stick it back on with some new sticky pads. No chance.

I ended up washing the front of it with the mrs Flash wipes and got all the sticky shite off. I'll probably run it through the winter like that, barring any complaints from the cozzers.

What's the legality regarding a front plate? Can I put one inside the windscreen or something? How come Enzo's get away with it.

I'll post pics tomorrow as it looks quite cool.

Have either of you two seen car magazine's online review of th latest supercharged Elise? They complain that you have to 'work the engine'. It's an effing sportscar FFS, it's meant to be driven hard.

Does it overhang off the screen, Russ? The last one I bought from there connected ok, but it sticks out over the screen a bit.
