I'll be posting about my new car once I get back from scotland in a weeks time. It needs to be run in and what better way? But it's very quick, makes a lovely noise, handles really well, is very comfy and full of fun toys. And pimp red leather.

Did you get the FRED dampers or the metal stick ones?

It does seem to be the one model in their current range that makes a great deal of sense.

Indeed; sort of a re-creation of the BMWs of yore, before they became slightly OTT or supertankers.

And not ruined by RFTs.

Sorry nick, I did get the Fred dampers and the unnecessary amount of auto gears. Also pro nav, hk speakers and a few other things. Discount was just over 10% so most of the options were "free" depending on how you look at it.

I'm now in scotland for the week, running it in. But even below 4k revs it's mighty quick. The torque flatters the power level. 200miles,30mpg and 62mph average on the way here. And I'm only in Edinburgh. Into the highlands tomorrow. Should be run in by Wednesday, and will meet up with blurter at some point for an m3 comparison hopefully too.

Seems to be ticking every box apart from looks, and in the drivers seat I like the interior so that doesn't matter. And I don't think it looks too bad anyway.

Proper write up in its own thread in a couple of days.

I agree; the F10/20/30 models all look OK. A couple are too big, but are no longer offensive.

The new interiors, and that on the 3er are superb.
Good design and so much more interesting than the last iteration.
A welcome return to quality fittings and leather too.

So what are you in for, 33k?
