Default EU-AutoTrader.com

I've been contacted by e:mail with an offer for my old beater that's for sale on Autotrader from these people:

http://www.eu-autotrader.com/index.php

The website looks very enticing but there's a disturbing reference to appointment fees and that by accepting their offer, the seller is bound by their T&C's, but only the website terms of use are published on the site, not the terms that apply to the transaction itself, which has all the hallmarks of deliberate misinformation........

Anyone come across them? Scam?

Any comments welcome.
Cheers,

None of the social media links work. A Whois look-up of the IP address has a cloaked owner.

Something about the design of the site suggests it was put together fairly cheaply.

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

As I thought, a distinctly aquatic aroma. Doesn't matter though, I've got a list of people queuing up to buy, trouble is they all seem to work at sea so they're having to send their agent once I give them my PayPal details. Thank god there's still some decent, honest folk about eh?

try gumtree for free.

I paid £46 or whatever the ransom is for a 3 week ad on AT and got nothing by spammy and scam responses. Same ad, same text, same prices went on gumtree and a nice chap locally came and picked it up in a week.

Wont ever be using AT again.

depends what you are selling I think. I've sold all my 'sporty' cars on PH no problem, although I wouldn't list a beater / boring car on there as it's not really the target audience imo.

AT probably is the best, but too many scammers using it that AT seem not able to control and it's expensive!

I put my S on their and had same last year, popped it on PH and sold in a week.

Agreed.

I've sold all my recent cars on PH, but in fairness they have been at the high end of each model. Infact, that's my buying strategy. I always buy the variant that is easily found.

Thus, pick ones with highest bhp and leather/heated etc. That way the market gets to yours quickly when searching.
