Mark, there is an annual road race round the town of Pau that looks really good. Pau is in the Pyrenees near where we went on the day out on the French Meet. Need to find out more info.

I've heard of it Dave, some guys in Fury's went there last year, I remember reading about it in one of the register newsletters.

I'll see if I can find it (I've probably chucked it out though, full of old duffers banging on about improving the fuel consumption of their Pinto engine).

Just found these two articles on the Pau web site, don't know if that is what you are referring to ?

Found out that next year's Pau Historic is on the 19th and 20th May. Not sure that's what you meant as I'm pretty sure it's at Pau Arnos circuit.

Seems they had Fangio's Maser 250F there this year:-

EDIT: No, it's on the street:-

How about down to Andorra (some great roads up through the mountains to get there) and down into Spain. Could pop down to the Algarve for some sun - now thats a drive..

Another trip on my to do list is down to Gib. Through the Pyrenees & south onto the coast, Barcelona, costs del crime etc & onwards or head for Madrid & then directly south.

I'd also do a boat trip across to Morocco for a day if i could.

Was watching 'Made in France' on Motors TV last night and they had a season's review of the 206rcc championship. One of the rounds is on the Pau street circuit on the weekend in question.

Tempted to go myself now
