Default EVO update

Ok Ive had it a few months now and got used to it a bit.

Ive changed the wheels to ones from the MR model and now has Toyo T1R's on there. I really love Toyo's, ive always had them on all my cars and been dying to get rid of the shit Yokohamas that were on there.

When I got the car I had to admit to being a bit disappointed with the grip, but knew this was tyre related. For that reason the AYC etc wasnt letting me have any fun.

Now ive got the Toyo's on = holy shit! The computer gizmo's are phenominal

Only in the last few weeks have I got used to just planting the throttle through bends and just letting the car do its thing. Might sound easy, but its not. You are cornering at a speed where you know you shouldnt really be doing, and you know the car is going to slide. You get a tiny twitch from the back - then th AYC takes over. Weird feeling as it catapults you round bends.

Its been slippy today, and it just eats up corners

Trouble is, I may end up in a hedge before long

Have to say this thing is a lot sharper than anything im used to, and now with the 360 plus bhp, Im v v happy Other pluses are that I still hardly ever see another one, it gets a lot of respect on the road, and its nice to be in a new car again. Downsides, well I rarely get more than 220 miles from

looks much better with the MR wheels mark

i was really hoping to be in an evo before xmas but i'm just having no joy shifting my S - stupid time of year to try and sell in retrospect. thought the price i'm asking now would have definitely garnered some interest though. ah well. it'll happen eventually.

are you gonna go for the front lip carbon fibre spoiler and the "vortex generator"

Thanks Billy

I actually like the socic the hedgehog and lip spoiler so maybe... my only reservation is it draws even more attention.

This is my mates one with some tasteful extra bits

Looking Mark.

In the top picture it looks like it says GAY on the number plate - or is it GAV?

LOl Dan, the plate was in reverse Only letter you got right was the A

Gad, I do, the garage is tricky and the car is mechanically immobilised. Was that because the plate was visible? PS - was meaning to ask if you would be getting another S or not?

Nick, think I agree. One of my plus points over the scoob is I feel its a "bit" less gay - so adding these bits doesnt help. It comes standard with the FQ400.

360 is a better car than the 400. Really. I have a great article on how the 360 is much more driveable and just as quick. I will post it up if its of any interest?

For me, the best way into EVO ownership is the lower models. Take the 260 - has a smaller spoiler, which some like, and a 5 speed as opposed to 6. Apart from that its the same pretty much as a GSR. Now if you do what I have done, decat, downpipe, exhaust, intake, fuel pump and remap then you are upto 360-370 bhp for a shit load less money. Those mods cost me
