Evora winning the awards...
I won't mention which mags, but just got an advanced copy of one which I subscribe to and it's won that, plus one other.
Seems to be that some of the writers are realising that outright speed isn't the be all and end all, which is nice.
The Clio 200 cup is also doing very well.
Interesting year for cars this year too, the crunch seems to have had little effect, other than Honda and a couple of others.
But hats off to Lotus. I shall try and drive one tomorrow!

They sold mine the other day, so at least I can enter the showroom without shedding a tear
News is that they won't be bringing a hot one out for a good while, which is a shame.

I was loafing around one the other day whilst the gys gave my Elise the once over.
The evora is a great looking car, nicely turned out but it IS NOT a £60k car - it doesn't have THAT level of quality.
But i imagine that it is great to drive

They do seem to be selling well at my local, but there does appear to be a lot on PH sales section which suggests otherwise.
I also thought it may be too slow, and i've heard a lot of journo comments that the chassis is so good that it's difficult to trouble it. It will be quick, if not quicker (plus sharper) than a Cayman S though and that is no slouch.
Interestingly in the footage above, the Lotus chap says there is a powered roof version coming along soon. Could well be the only contended out there for an S replacement for those who like the roof thing.

like so many cars, the new price is laughable (I think you can spec the new Fiesta to nearly £20K!)
I don't know about journos not thinking power and outright speed not being everything

and the Nurburgring time seems to be their holy grail
