Default F1 Driver Tracking

Supposidly this weekend (and future race meets) you can go on the BBC website go onto the watch it live page and select an option to bring up a map of the circuit which brings up live information about where the cars are on track.

Went to try and get on there during qualifying but couldn't find the option. Anyone else try this out and succeed?

I've used the F1 official site before and it's worked fine. I didn't try the BBC one though

I didn't think it was available on the F1 site, only live timing?

If it is there, can you give us a link please Mark?

Here's the BBC Link of how to get it http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/andrewbenson/20...iver_track.html

The instruction says:
"The driver tracker will be added to our live video module - which we locate at the top of our live page on the website whenever there are cars on the track. This module also has live video coverage of every on-track session, an in-car camera channel, alternative commentary streams and rolling highlights"

So I went to the live video of qualifying (go the the link in here when it's available http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/default.stm ) but couldn't find any options allowing me to look at all car camera channel, alternative commentry or rolling highlights let alone the driver tracker.

Also went to BBC Iplayer and found a live link through there but couldn't find any of the options

Dunno then, will give it a try during the race and see if I can get it to work.

I can't find it in my history. Maybe my memory is faulty. I did look at the iPad live location app in a PC World.

Or maybe it was on mclaren's site?

Ahhhhh it's the guy who's telling you about the feature being shite
Only available in the race apparently despite the "whenever the cars are on track" comment

Lots of fuss on the blogs comment about it

Brilliant feature, makes it really visible who's pulling time on each other.

Worked well during the race

I agree there, sat with the lappie next to me whilst watching what turned out to be a good race.
