Surely all the first four drivers are going fully expecting to win?

Are we supposed to dislike him for that as well now?

I really don't understand all the Hamilton bashing. He's clearly doing a fantastic job.
it's a reaction to the nauseating, sycophantic hype we had to endure since his signing

it will settle down

although it won't be helped by pricks like Rod Dennis who keeps using this corporate-amateur (and I mean amateur)-pyschology-speak

I think Hamilton is a very good driver

but not good enough to win the driver's championship against Alonso in the same car (without mechanical misfortune striking Alonso)

I also think Button would be just as competitive in that car

and at least half a dozen other drivers

maybe he'll improve again next year

your guess is as good as mine

F**king Sky HD ate my recording, so I didn't see them turn a wheel today.

Not happy. At least Alonso is on pole, which is good. What happened to Kimi?

Kimi has continued his car breaking career at Ferrari. It's strange that some drivers get that bit of luck when it comes to their cars and others don't.

I think he's going to be another one who collects the tag "greatest driver never to win a championship".

This one was his fault.

I really thought this would be Kimi's year.

The Iceman seems to have lost his cool a bit this year.

Still fancy Lewis to win today, but weather could throw everything up in the air. Be interested to see who carrying more fuel.

Can't believe how excited people getting about his practice crash - don't people realise by now, testing is the time to do your crash and find the limits, just like MS used to do, and certainly not at the time Kimi chose to crash!

The only problem, as has been stated many times before here, is the media coverage he is getting - it does make him difficult to like.

Having said all that, IMHO he is not only very good (that much is surely obvious form his results, good car or not) he is also exciting to watch - he was far and away the most visually dramatic driver in qualifying. It isnt too often you see a moden F1 car in a full 4 wheel drift!

As Martin B said, it will be interesting to see if he can get away with that sort of driving for a whole GP at Monaco.

I predict mayhem at the 1st corner - probably precipitated by the front 2 rows!

Hopefully not indeed..........but that is the sort of thing I fear may cause a 1st corner incident.
