It does under and oversteer depending how you put it at the roundabout, but it is just AWESOME !! It's blisteringly quick (or at least it feels it) and I feel about a hundred times more confident in it than the S; although it can bit back pretty well !

I'm fairly intimidated by it at the moment, not really sure why; it doesn't have much more power than an old car of mine, but somehow it feels like a beast in comparison
That's how I felt when I drove one for 3 days.

Loved it though, I was worried it would dull and boring to drive and it's neither of those things.

Glad you like it. First thing I would do is ditch the RE070's and stick some real road tyres on.

STi

As in Impreza.
Aaah, I was thinking STI meant something else, and wondered why someone would talk about it so openly...

Congrats on the new car Dreamer, post pics ASAP.

Not sure, haven't pushed it at all yet !!

It does understeer but it flicks into oversteer very quickly, I find myself having to be more careful with it than I am in the S.
You'll find a little thumbwheel under the handbrake so you can dial that in or out!

Perhaps a little more FWD until you're comfortable with it.

IIRC the 06 can only go a max of 40% to the fronts, and a max 100% to the rears?

I'm not sure, I haven't read the manual yet !

Unfortunately I picked it up Saturday, took the Caterham to the VW meet, then flew to Amsterdam !!! Not had a chance to read up on the C-Diff, so have left it alone until I understand it properly.

I've left it in Auto mode for now!

Nick - it isn't too bad, its not that you have to pussy foot around, you just have to keep reminding yoursel fhow fast you are actually going. You can see why people stack them, it can make you feel a bit like a superhero as its so quick without feeling it, and you forget to slow down ! (OR rather, I assume that's what happens to people!)

Moff - so true. New tyres as soon as I can afford it (probably when these ones die), and if anyone says they are dull to drive, then they probably haven't tried the newer ones.

It does feel heavy (certainly not lumbering) at times, but its such great fun you don't really notice.

Thanks Neil - pics when I get home to take any unless Kelk does it before then !!

And to da PMW taking his be-atch's scooby to the pub !
