Default First NIP in 26 years.

In my Combo van Sheffield btw, South Yorks Police do the
awareness course on their site and im in the threshold.

Do they always offer you the course or may I get points? Clean licence
all those years I spotted the van but the laser's range must be
longer than I thought.

Russ.

Why? Are you not a 1/4 nearer a ban ?

Do the course ... no points and doesn't count as a conviction as it is an alternative to prosecution therefore you don't need to tell any insurance company.

And FWIW a Laser will easily 'zap' a car/van at very long range ! The further the distance the bigger the 'beam' produced therefore the operator has to be sure there are no close vehicles, etc - though if the unit itself gets 'confused' by something else in close proximity it won't give a reading.

Depends.

Loss of earnings from taking a day off vs additional insurance premiums as a result of 3 points plus the additional risk of losing your licence.

Russ - I think you should be sent down and they throw away the key

Bad luck.

BTW, you still have to 'pass' the course; I think that's the hard part!

Take the course... 1 morning of being patronised is better than 3 points in my opinion.
