first track day.
well i have broken my trackday cherry and now can see what all the fuss is about.
i was shaking like f@#k before i went on track but the nerves vanished as soon as i got going.
the big holden was much better than i thought it would be..very chuckable and fairly quick down the straights
was more fun as my abs and traction control dont work at the moment and my rear offside spring is snapped...but she was awesome.
there was a guy there in an s2000 but i couldnt convince him to take the airbox cover off and let me drive him around the track
here is a badly shot video.

I was there two weeks ago, it's a good fun little track and I hope to go back again soon!
Here's a video of my first session (How should I do the youtube link to make it embeded?)
You'll be going back there again soon then?

First trackday is a great experience. Im annoyed at myself that i left it until the age of 31 to attempt taking a car out on a track. Had alot of fear before hand but once i had done it i loved it. Now you cant stop me from attending trackdays so much so that i book them up during the winter so i have something to look forward to during spring/summer. Glad you had a goodtime.
Oh and if no one has already told you then trackdays are expensive. They have a habit of making you buy more bits for your cars lol

You've got Pembrey down there too, that's a good track.
I think I was 30 when I did my first track day. They are more expensive than you might think with brakes and tyres seemingly always wearing out, they're all too far away from me too.

I've not taken the M on track yet. Basically because the rears cost me north of 600 notes and i brutalised the S tyres on my most recent outing
How did your tyres stand up to it? And brakes.. The M brakes are prone to overcooking apparently, its not exactly light.. Much like your vectra

the rears for mine would be £600 if i still used potenza's but i use kumo's now only £600 and much better.i had a quick feel of the rears and they seemed to have held up well but i didnt do any drifting
the brakes on mine are huge and i have the 6 pot upgraded calipers and they did a 15 minute blast with out fading.the only moment i had was when braking for the chicane i changed down to 2nd and she wagged her tail a little...but it was more entertaining for the cars behind me than myself .
but honestly it was much better on a track than i thought it would be....and due to the failure of the dodge viper..the loudest
