Default Fixed Penalty Notice

I'd enjoyed having no points on my licence, especially considering getting let off my 100mph+ police chase a couple of years ago.

I got an FPN this morning for 39 in a 30 on a road I know quite well. Didn't even see the camera van

At 39mph it is 2 mph over the point at which you can be offered a speed awareness course for

I got one for 60 in a 50 not long ago (similar situation to you, except I was rushing to hospital )

wgaf?

you get good runs where you seem fireproof and then runs where you pick up two or three

been there, done that

it doesn't affect my driving one iota

I fully expect to have nine points on my licence at some point in the next 20 years, maybe pick up a ban

equally, there will be a ten year clean period - as I have just enjoyed

it all evens out as part of the price you pay for having high performance cars

worth it

If you didn't see a camera van, ask for some photographic evidence. If anything it's only going to slow it down, but you may be lucky and they can't produce it. Always worth trying.

Was it whilst you were driving with a broken wrist and under doctors orders not to? If so, I'd skip the photographic evidence bit ....
