Probably mate, power wise looking at what this ek9 is making stock vs standard I reckon 10bhp absolute tops with an exhaust.

Not a week goes by when I don't miss my EG civic(s).

I had a fully stripped out ESi with the D16Z6 engine, which went far quicker than it had any right to.

Then had another ESi that I swapped a Prelude H22 into.

A friend of mine had a B20 conversion that was frankly absurd, and I knew Tarun from G-motorsports (no idea if it's still around) who was working ona K24 drag civic. It was good for an 11 second 1/4 IIRC.

Road legal - but pretty much useless at anything other than accelerating hard so not really my bag.

It's funny, I spent my entire civic-ownership knowing what bits I wanted but not really being able to afford it. Now I could afford any civic bits I wanted, and instead I'm trying to decide whether I can justify spending money on the S, or get some PROPER metal.

Age old addage - as earnings increase, so does the cost of the toys you lust after. A carbon bonnet for a civic used to be a £250able part, coilovers could be done well for £400. I'd dream of that sort of price on bits for the S2k now!

Get used to it. I call it idiot tax.

Having said that I have done up two EG Civics and the prices I have paid for bits on the S2000 were VERY similar to the Civic.

Biggest difference was the cost of an exhaust manifold and the odd brace.

Makes a lot of sense considering the parts bin between an EG Civic and an S2000 are common.

Same can be observed between a Porsche and a Skoda, but prices will tell you differently.

On the whole of this thread though, there is no way that EK4 will be a match for an S2000. I have been up against EK9s and pulled away nicely.

20bhp from an exhaust is just not going to happen, but assuming that exhaust was sub £300, it'd be worth getting
