I just found out that Amanda filled up our Mazda the day before the MOT, so I have an undriveable car on the driveway with a buyer coming to collect this week and

Good to see you did the sensible and obvious. I was about to say, ask the seller to add the cost of the fuel to the asking price as he's got to fill it up anyway!
