7:38 round the ring .. quicker than a 997 Turbo, and getting close to the CarreraGTs and Zondas.

Head lights are expensive to replace, so I'm guessing they mount them higher to help avoid damage in a car parking bump situation (think Nissan Micra), and having them at and angle helps to deflect stones kicked up off the motorway to prevent cracks/chips etc.

Or maybe it's just a styling thing

Bloody hell 7:38 round the 'ring is amazing.

I was a bit surprised to see Nissan use a V6 over a straight 6, but I guess the unit is more compact, and helps to keep the weight behind the wheels to aid with handling.

VQ parts bin V6.

The Skyline engine was the last of an old family of engines.

Like you say, I-6s are a bugger to package.
