Bloody hell, would there be THAT much of a discrepancy between the indicated and real speeds on a 997 Turbo's speedometer? Surely not! I can imagine it being 5-8mph out but not much more...

Once you start clocking those numbers the speedo goes awol, from my experience with bikes anyway.
220 on the clock is normally about low 190's
The road where he was caught is as good as it gets for doing those speeds
