Bloody hell, would there be THAT much of a discrepancy between the indicated and real speeds on a 997 Turbo's speedometer? Surely not! I can imagine it being 5-8mph out but not much more...

187 mph on the speedo probably would be about 172 though 

Once you start clocking those numbers the speedo goes awol, from my experience with bikes anyway.
220 on the clock is normally about low 190's

M180 is empty and the M69 can be perfect with a good road surface, hardly any junctions and not many bridges!
