Default Hands Free Mobile Kit

I know that this is off topic, but I wonder if anyone could help. I want to fit a Bluetooth handsfree kit into the CRV but don't know which is the best point to take the power from. I've looked at the fuse box but it isn't the same as the S.

Does anyone have any experience?

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

We don't have a C of E either, but;

Get yourself a cheapo multimeter from Maplins or whatever.

You should find a spare accessory pin on the fusebox (you want to find one that's live with the ignition on, or live all the time) and spade it onto that.

On Civics, the feed from the ign. to the radio is white/black up to the inline fuse and yellow/red from there to the head unit. You might splice into that, if its easier. But I'd use a spade, it's better.

Does it not say in the manual what the fuses are?

It says on the fusebox cover.

But it doesn't tell you which spare terminal is live, hence the meter.

Valid point, Neil.

Mobile phones are useless.

Mobile phones with Bluetits are worse than useless.

Mobile phones through carkits are worse than Far King Useless.

I have a Pioneer bluetooth kit in my car and the quality is brilliant. The mic sits next to the rear view mirror and to the person on the phone it sounds like your using the phone itself. Although this is in an Integra which will be acoustically better due to the tin top.

Nice! Both my Nokia kits (bluetooth and wired) were cr@p.

Went for a stupid earpiece, but it does seem to work well. motorola, 30 quid.

Thanks for the advice, do the headsets count as handsfree in the car? Or is it Ok if you fix the handset somewhere?

I like the Pioneer but how much was it?
