Default Hello comparethemeerkat.com

Sergei !! Vot are you doing playing with Shisky's tablet-ma-bob ?

What ?? He bought car insurance through comparethemeerkat.com ?

It cannot be not for his S2000. He is selling years ago and is now just one of many, oldie ex-owners who hang around s2ki forums ...

And not his Mercedes either. He got rid of that when it started to leak ...

That's right. He is down-sizing to little Suzuki Swift. At least reliability is tickety-boos ...

And as reward for fiinding him our best deal at £266 fully compremahensive, I am sending you for holiday with Shisky.

Simples !!

I guess if you're going to receive any meerkat toy, Sergei isn't a bad one ...

Went with Quotemehappy (Aviva owned) via comparethemeerkat and, as evidence of how things work nowadays, no one was spoken to and not a single piece of paper changed hands. Although I have printed out my insurance certificate, I think the intention is that I keep it on me electronically via their phone app. It'll be interesting to see what Plod makes of that ...

A couple of the quotes were as low as £220 but I'd never heard of the insurance companies in question so chickened out and went with someone I'd heard of. Direct Line were after £360, up (for no apparent reason) from the £243 I paid them the year before. Asked if they wanted to price match but they weren't interested. Loyalty, eh?

interesting regarding Direct Line, our renewal came in at £450 on the civic when was only £250 last year... we did have a minor bump into some wildlife which resulted in a claim, but our £50 extra for protected no claims surely made that safe... according to DL, seemingly not.

I looked around got it for £270 with Admiral (single car as we only have 1 now), so DL are clearly way off the page with pricing at the moment.

that's about £2.50 per horse power!!! I think I'm on to something there, perhaps they should charge per BHP

And unfortunately, that's how it works when you have issues.

If I were you, I would quickly read some reviews, and then get the hell out while you can cancel.

Cheapest for a reason. And it's not just down to using a no paper system.

Its because they don't give a toss.

I'm paying £500 for my S2000 which really bugs me now I'm so old (37), loads of NCB (since I parked the S2000 on its roof in 2002...) and with a decent post code. The only problem is I can't use these quote engines because of my non-OEM wheels, which really seems to get the insurers' knickers in a twist (and also the non-factory fitted OEM front lip and rear spoiler).

I suspect the S2000 will do no more than 2,000 miles over the next 12 months so I really need to get the insurance premium down (currently capped at 5,000 miles).

Craig,
I always found Admiral very accepting of mods.
If you go to their site you can add/remove mods and see the premium realtime.
Had extensive work on the 335i and it was no bother for Admiral and fairly priced.
Not the cheapest but after three claims (two fault) I have had excellent service from them to be fair.
This week they let me adopt lots of named driver NCB for my own policy on my new E class (former CC insurance and named driver only)

In fact the OPs choice was the cheapest for me too but friends with reviews soon put me straight.
Plus Aviva have been laying off many hundreds of staff in UK - was on the news today, so its all a bit 'suspect' IMO.

Liverpool Victoria may be worth a punt too, but they seemed to go off mods a few years ago.

Have also used A-Plan and found them a good broker for modified or imports.
