Nice pics as usual Mr Blurter.

Have to say, the visual tweaks you've made to the car (wheels and stripe) make a world of difference; without those visual cues it'd be just yet another tedious shirt and tie brigade pose\status mobile that I always imagine spend 99.9% of their life on MWays and in cities parked near wine bars in the banking sector of town.

You seemed to have managed to have shifted yours well clear of the above association for me and put it firmly in the sports car/enthusiast bracket, which is where it should be.

Why dont BMW do this themselves I wonder? ie, create a special version of it as you have done, to attract more people like us and not only the bankers.

Thankyou for that, Dog. You're obviously of the same way of thinking as me

As I have said before, I am a car enthusiast, not a Honda or BMW, or whatever, enthusiast. I did find the whole "BMW" thing a little embarrassing at first, as I don't not consider myself to be a "typical" BMW owner. My car is probably too visually extreme for the regular BMW masses, so I doubt it would be financially viable for the company.

I use my car very little during the week as I either walk or, take the bus to work, and driving the M day to day is such a waste, I have no interest in it. For me, owning a car like this is all about driving, real driving far from the tedious commuter routes. That is why I take every opportunity I can to get away on trips like these, otherwise there would be no point in me having the car. I really love the look of it now, a proper little road racer, and changes really set it apart from the regular Z4 (a car which I had no interest in by the way, until they brought out the M version). The comments and attention it gets have been very very positive, and it's a bloody great drive.

Needs a wash now tho before the hosepipe ban starts here on Friday

No Ferrari on this trip Lee, although I did spot my first SLS on the M74

Will post some more pics tonight - Dave

Maybe because they don't make that car anymore?

Or maybe because it looked pretty damn good as standard anyway?

Different strokes for different folks though.

Monday - heading home

Very wet as we blast through Glen Coe

We've driven past the Wallace Monument many times so decided to take a closer look

It's bloody massive when you get close, 220ft tall

Climbed the 246 steps to the top

Great views from the top

Looking across to Stirling Castle

920 mile round trip

Glad you enjoyed the pics

Dispite the weather, it was another great 4 days in Scotland; my 3rd trip this year.

Until next time...............
