I recently tried to take a wheel off my mums car because it had a flat. No matter what I did (stood on it, bounced up and down etc) it wouldn't budge.
it must indeed have been on tight

The answer is a bloody lot.
Yeah yeah, IIRC the cripple took the wheels off on Saturday whilst you did your hair or something

I think the best track is 'Sir' (the one about an affectionate teacher anyway )

I take it the dealer got the wheel off?
I dont think that would go down to well at the Royal Variety Performance. Its just clicked which one you mean

I remember so many of their sketches that were actually quite disturbing but hilarious, you could always hear Dudley Moor thinking "Oh my god what has he just said?"
Some memorable lines that may jog some memories.
"Take up thy bed and walk! it was miss reported wheres the ffing bog im dying for a slash"
"So I put my huge hob nail boots and I..........................untill I was ffing exhausted"
"Your right leg I like, Ive got nothing against your right leg, the trouble is neither have you"
"With an ant sucking on his left nipple"

Like this one for instance?

As a boy, this one had me in stitches.

(NSFW at all).

The relationship between Pete & Dud was extremely toxic; they bloody well ought to have been very disturbing!

I used to know D & C live practically verbatim and still find it playing in my head. A lot.

An I said to him with all the dignity I could muster, is this any way to run a f ucking ballroom?

Ahh happy days. Aged 15, half ounce of Old Holburn and a packet of red rizzlas, me and my mates drinking tea, eating cheese on toast and smoking roll ups listening to D+C.

The very thought of D & C has me chuckling to myself...

A std. bar goes to about 200 Lb-ft and a big one around 300.

I'd put money on some junior monkey with an air wrench farting away on your locknut. Even the Queen mum got to hear it...
I've heard this before, that using the air wrench to tighten the wheel nuts is not good as it over tightens them...What I don't understand is these wrenches do not have a long handle so the point of moment is not that far from the pivot (nut) so how does the huge torque get applied?

I had my leg re-tested on a Cybex machine recently after an ACL op in Nov and it makes about 150Nm peak which was about 10% down on the good side I guess your quads are your biggest muscle group so quite a lot and I have fairly spindly legs too

Gearing. Imagine a 1' Tq with a 1 lb weight attached.

Now imaging the same Tq with Nick's patent epicyclic drive on its 1/2" drive @1:2 ratio.

It barely turns the nut any more, but it's the equivalent of doubling the shaft length, or doubling the weight on the shaft.

Not all reactions are as equal & opposite as they might appear.
