Default How much would you pay for this ?

Right don't all get excited as it isn't anything exotic, far from it, but I'm going to be on the hunt for a second car and will be looking at a few over the next few days.

I don't want or need any advice on what alternatives to look at as I know what I want, wait for it.....Ford Focus estate 1.6 LX - I know, totally awesome piece of machinery

This is the example that I will be going to have a look at either today or tomorrow http://www.wholesalemotors.co.uk/view.asp?ID=1816

It's up for

Smaller engined cars are in no way as affected as the bigger ones.

Seems a lot of people are cashing in their 'gas guzzlers' and buying the smaller stuff for the commute. As an example, with no haggling we got

Thanks for the advice.

We'll be p/xing our Clio 1.2 against this which according to various online price guides should fetch around 2k. I was expecting to get less in the current climate, but Mark's advice on smaller engined cars makes a lot of sense in light of new road tax pricing and the price of fuel I think we may be able to get close to the book price.

I'll test the water with a low offer, but I expect to pay around 4 - 4.5k so hopefully around 2 - 2.5 with the Clio thrown in.

That's good to know.

It's got 10k more miles on the clock than the one that I'm going to look at tomorrow so I reckon a fairish price would be 4.5k for the one that I'm after.

[QUOTE=moff,Sep 4 2008, 02:15 AM] Where did you get that price from?

That is totally undervalued and you are never going to get that car for that price.
