I saw one with Arnold Clark plates on today. Wasn't a Type R, but it was an FD2 saloon, in black.

As far as I know the only current UK spec Civic saloon is the Hybrid, could it have been that ??

Yep, you saw the Hybrid. Basically they don't sell many of em worldwide so they make all the hybrids in Japan and export em. Which is why they're all FD2s They dont and wont do the CTR FD2 in the UK

FA5, I think.

If it had hearing-aid beige leather & strange aluminium wheeltrims.

The FD2s are a tad more outrageous.

It had exactly the same front end and side profile of Danny's car. I didn't see the back of it, but I'm positive it was the same car minus the spoiler and rims etc.

If I see it again I'll take a pic. Could have been a hybrid, no idea but it was the same basic car I think.

There's far call in it, really!

Could be either.

The alloys on the hybrids are hideous.

When I had my last service done there was one on the forecourt. I took a pic of the alloys with the intention of posting it on here, to ask WTF they were thinking. That was until I noticed it was a hybrid.

Hideous.

That's the very boy, Nick. It's obviously the same car minus the Type R bits. So they have released the FD2 in the UK, just not the Type R.
