I Want That Car
Did anyone watch this last night on ITV4?
It's safe to say that I won't be bothering next week. The presenter (bloke) got on my nerves and the first guy who liked the Porsche Boxster was an absolute tool.
Why is it so difficult to make a decent car programme, that's actually about cars, and that appeals to the mass public? Top Gear doesn't really count as the budget must be huge but all the others are pretty rubbish.

It's a good question.
But I think any 'special interest' programmes always come across as either very nerdy (if they're any good) or very trite if they appeal to mouthbreathers.
There are some terrible presenters on youuttertube, but the subject matter is often technically interesting.
I do wonder if TV as a format is finished? By trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator, it appeals to no-one except the advertisers.

I switched off after the first guy... he thought £15k for a 2007 TT was 'amazing value'... I did a quick AT search and found a few similar for £8k.
The best line for me... (when he sat in the Boxster)
"I love this round thing here..." {presenter} "oh yes, the steering wheel"
And would an Abarth appeal to anyone looking at a TT or Boxster?
Likewise, will be giving it a wide berth next week. Shame, could have been interesting... a bit like Location, Location, Location which I actually quite like (flamesuit zipped up).
