Well after selling boxster (987s) and putting a deposit down on new m3 I thought id just get a runaround for a 7-12 months depending on when the m3 arrives. Can I do that? no i cant! got back from hols and took a 6 month old r32 (golf) for a test drive and ended up buying. really well specced with dsg, leather, nav, cruise and cd changer and a 3k+ saving on list. I used to have the mk4 and loved it, the mk 5 feels great although i think the materials look cheaper compared to mk4. The dsg is great but initially lacks any feel in that its like being on a playstation when you change gear. Looking forward to picking it up but ive been spoilt with the boxster. I just hope the m3 lives up to the hype. The deposit is refundable untill you spec so may well go back to a boxster if they dont give it the thumbs up. May even get a decent pex val given porsches interest in vw.
