Default I'm in love

Yes we all know that I'm in love with a power ranger...

Please feel free to go and but it's a pre-emptive strike for the 14th.

However over the last couple of weekends I've been in a couple of supercars and I have to say I am smitten with one of them.

The first was a Ferrari F430 which I was a little underwhelmed by. It was one of those P1 / Ecurie etc type owned cars but the interior was a little shabby for a car with only 14k miles on it and the passenger experience wasn't all that great. No real audible drama and a little bland, the looks are bland and it didn't really punch the "little kid" button inside my head. Now I appreciate that these things come alive above 100mph but still there was no drama...

However on Sunday I got to go in the complete antithesis of this. A Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. This had everything - noise, looks, quality of interior and a massive cool factor.

It had the semi-auto box and every down shift had the auto blip of throttle which got thumbs up from passers by literally and the whole occasion was just fantastic. I appreciate that the Fez may beat it round a track, especially the Scuderia but that didn't do it for me. The Lambo rocked and for the rest of the day I was grinning like a school kid.

What really surprised me was the size. As you can see in the pic at the end my Elise is parked next to it but the Lambo wasn't that much bigger at all in any axis however the interior was roomy, full of alcantara, lovely dials and gauges and the seats, even covered in alcantara felt like race seats i.e. CF and somewhat firm.

I've always liked the Gallardo.

If I had the wonga, I know which of the two I'd get.

The very low front on piccie of the Lambo is also very Countach - which is cool.

Always loved the Gallardo and as above - if wonga was no problems then this is what I would have

It was the photos barring some tiny elements of average road dirt on a dry day from driving to the location

Isn't Jeremy Clarkson a new fan of the Lambo scene too?

Just purchased one for his other half

Bought my mate for his 30th a driving day in the R8 and the Gallardo so i'll be interested to see what he thinks of driving both on the track back to back! I'll get some snaps as i'll be going with him.. He's best get me something similar for mine, well thats what i'm hoping!!

Supperleggera looks the nuts although have you seen the Nero (i think) ltd edition? Black with matt black wings etc, and black wheels.. looks awesome!
